Our Story | Next Harbour

In December 2021, four recent college graduates met to discuss possibly creating a project that could ride on the Crypto-NFT wave. This meeting resulted in the founding of Costa Jaguar an NFT project that aimed to represent Latin American culture with a contemporary twist. Additionally, the team wanted to explore the feasibility of raising funds for NGOs using blockchain technology. In order to achieve this, the Costa Jaguar team partnered with the Black Jaguar Foundation. As a part of this partnership, the CJ team agreed to donate 20 percent of the project's revenue to support the organization's goal of reforesting the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil.

Our first collection, “Costa Jaguar: Legendary Jaguars” was released for sale on May 2022. After the launch, the project started gaining some traction in the media and was featured on El Comercio, Mexico Pragmatico, and Be[In]Crypto. Unfortunately, soon after our launch, the crypto market collapsed after the fall of the Luna coin. Despite this, all of the 100 legendary Jaguar NFTs were sold within a few weeks.

After this, the team continued to work for months developing the code and artwork for a collection of 5000 Jaguar NFTs. As the team prepared to launch this collection there was an overwhelming feeling that it was not the time for a collection of this scale to be launched into the market. Due to this, the project was paused and eventually shelved.

Although, Costa Jaguar was not the success the team hoped it would be there were many lessons that we learned along the way. Additionally, most team members still felt that the connections and experience gathered while working in the art/tech industry could be used to create something new. After countless meetings of evaluating the market and how our skillsets and experience could be incorporated into it, we decided to create Next Harbour Solutions.

Next Harbour Solutions aims to be the number one consulting agency for companies looking to expand into the fintech space in Chile. Within our team, we have experts in Fintech Law, Metaverse, Digital Marketing, and Game Development.
